Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using HomePilot ("Service", "App", "Platform") operated by HomePilot ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HomePilot. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• One account can be used across Web, iOS, and Android with full data sync.

3. Subscription Plans & Payments

Plans

HomePilot offers Free, Pro, and Family subscription tiers. Features and limits vary by plan.

Web Payments (Razorpay)

Subscriptions purchased through our website are processed via Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

In-App Purchases (iOS & Android)

Subscriptions purchased through the iOS App (via Apple App Store) or Android App (via Google Play Store) are subject to the respective platform's payment terms. Apple and Google manage billing, cancellation, and refunds for these purchases. To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings.

Cross-Platform Access

Your subscription, regardless of purchase platform, unlocks features on all platforms (Web, iOS, Android) under the same account.

4. Refund Policy

For web subscriptions, please see our Refund Policy. For iOS purchases, refunds are managed by Apple — contact Apple Support. For Android purchases, refunds are managed by Google Play.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Share your account credentials with others outside your household
• Misuse the AI features or attempt to circumvent usage limits
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application

6. AI Features & Data Processing

HomePilot uses GPT-4o (OpenAI) to power invoice scanning and AI chat features. By using these features, you acknowledge that your invoice images and queries are sent to OpenAI for processing. We use OpenAI's API under terms that prevent your data from being used to train AI models. AI outputs are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional financial advice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by HomePilot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of data you upload. By uploading data, you grant HomePilot a limited license to process and display it solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Household Members

Pro plan allows up to 3 household members; Family plan allows up to 6. Household members can view and edit shared household data. The account owner is responsible for the activity of all members they invite. Only invite people you trust.

9. Disclaimers

HomePilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Financial information and AI outputs are for personal reference only and do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomePilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time via theAccount Deletion page.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
